Support Services
This unit is responsible for the corporate support and management of the Cape Teaching and Leadership Institute (CTLI) facilities. Our main aim is to provide a world class facility to all Western Cape Education Department (WCED) stakeholders which will ultimately enable better service delivery.
Our friendly support staff are available throughout the day to welcome our clients to the facility and to ensure that they have a smooth, seamless and enjoyable experience whilst attending training and other interventions at the CTLI.
- Our main function is to provide state of the professional, state of the art Venues and Neat and homely Accommodation to all those utilizing our facility within the WCED.
The CTLI comprises of:- Training rooms
- Three auditoriums
- Two lecture theatres
- Two computer labs
- Two Information and Computer Technology (ICT) Slim labs
- Two science labs
- Three boardrooms
- Conference centre with two adjoining seminar rooms
- Smaller meeting rooms
- Cafeteria
In addition to this, we have two modern hostels, each accommodating 152 persons. Our two fully furnished flatlets and executive suites are more suited for smaller groups requiring accommodation.
We have expansive grounds and outside areas for users to relax and unwind during their break times. The CTLI offers an on-site, professional catering service provided by CSG Food Solutions. Catering is provided for in our modern dining halls, a fully equipped restaurant (for seated meals) and several other smaller dining areas within the training areas (more suited for pre-packaged and self-served meals).
