About this Course

This online course is designed to support teachers by introducing them to the concept of Self-directed Learning and provide them with practical strategies to support and encourage their learners in developing this essential skill.  

Participants will engage in interactive activities and tasks to develop their understanding of self-directed learning and to apply this knowledge in their teaching practice.

Course objectives

  • Define self-directed learning and describe its benefits in the classroom.

  • Explain the role of hyperdocs in facilitating self-directed learning.

  • Explain the role of choice boards in facilitating self-directed learning for assessment.

  • Design effective hyperdoc & choice boards that align with learning objectives and cater to different learning styles.

The duration of this online course is 14 days and is structured around three modules, with each module focusing on a different aspect of self-directed learning and . Each module has a module task that has to be submitted to qualify for a Certificate of Completion.
 
Participants who enroll for this course must:
