General Requirements:
This course is for Grade 10 Life Sciences teachers. Participants must have access to a computer/laptop and data to complete this course. Module 1 and 2 is a prerequisite for Module 3.

About this Course

Target group: Grade 10 Life Sciences teachers

Course objective: The course aims to upskill teachers in content delivery, teaching strategies, and the development of assessment tasks for Life Sciences.

The course content alligns itself to the ATP's of Life Sciences for Term 2 and includes strategies to empower teachers to teach concepts such as, Scientific Investigations with confidence.

Course structure, duration and registration: This is ONE course and All three modules are compulsory. 

Module 1 Topic: Scientific Investigations 101 (Online_25 April)

1.1 Introduction and overview of scientific investigations 

1.2 Method of a scientific investigation

1.3 Terminology 

Module 2 Topic: Hypothesis testing the scientific method (Online_4 May)

2.1 Planning a scientific investigation

2.2 How to identify the different variables

Module 3 Topic: Assessment_Questions that spark curiosity  for Grade 10 (Face to Face_13 May 2023)

Course Certification: Only participants who have submitted and passed all module tasks will be issued a certificate of completion.
