About this Course

 

This course will supply teachers with content knowledge and skills to teach Reading and Writing effectively in Grade R

 

Content to be covered:

Module 1: The Rationale for Grade R

Module 2:  Characteristics of the Grade R learner and the role of the Grade R Teacher 

Module 3: Policies pertaining to Grade R

Module 4: How CAPS contribute to the learners’ holistic development

Module 5: The CAPS: 3 Subjects in Grade R

Module 6: How R Mathematics and ELIT and the Balanced Language Approach strengthen the CAPS

Module 7:  How to use the CAPS

Module 8: Planning a Grade R Daily Programme

Module 9: Assessment in Grade R 

Module 10: Know how to evaluate Grade R Learning and Teaching Support Material

 

Certification:

Teachers who have completed the pre /post-tests and tasks will be awarded a certificate.
