FP Mathematics: Number Operations and Relationships & Measurement
The course will focus on the teaching and learning of Mathematics to develop the teacher’s critical awareness of how the mathematical relationships are used in social, environmental, cultural and economic relations. The course will empower teachers with skills and knowledge to become confident and competent to teach Mathematics. Develop a deep conceptual understanding in Mathematics and to encourage the correct use of the language in Mathematics.
The course will integrate Number Operations and Relationships with Measurement and cover the following content:

Number names and number symbols
Topics: Place value
Addition and subtraction
Grouping and sharing leading to division
Repeated addition leading to multiplication.

Certification:
Teachers who have completed the pre /post-tests and tasks will be awarded a certificate.
