Applicants must teach in:
FET Phase (Grades 10-12)
General Requirements:
Educators teaching Technical Vocational and practical subjects with specific focus on technical, vocational, and occupational teaching. Participants for this course will have a minimum N3 qualification. Applicants must be employed by WCED. SGB appointed teachers are not eligible to apply.

About this Course

Technical and Vocational and Practical Subjects study opportunity for Teachers.

The aim of the WCED with regards to Technical and Vocational subjects is to: “Increase access, learner enrolment and performance in Technical and Vocational education in the WCED.”

The CTLI, with the ETDP SETA as funding partner, will be delivering an accredited short course for teachers teaching Technical, Vocational and or practical subjects, during 2023.

This Face-to-Face course will be delivered by Northlink College on behalf of the CTLI.

The aim of the course is to equip and strengthen qualified artisans who are currently teaching technical vocational and practical subjects within schools, with the necessary classroom practice and classroom management skills.

The course includes the following Unit Standards to be delivered in a face-to-face format at Northlink College From February to April 2023:

1.  Technical aspects of Didactics, Classroom Management and Administration: 3 till 6 April 2023 

2.  Assessor Training: 26 till 29 June 2023

Course Induction and Orientation date: 18 March 2023 at the CTLI

Funding is limited to 50 applicants who meet the requirements.
