About this Course
The objective of the course is to support the teaching practice and assessment of fine and gross motor skills for novice teachers, Grades 1 and 4 teaching Physical Education in the subject Life Skills/ Life Orientation.
The training will be conducted from 08:00 to 15:00 at the Cape Teaching and Leadership Institute hostels.
The training will focus on the practical skills needed to teach and assess the Physical Education sections as set out in the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS).
Due to the practical component of the course, only 40 teachers will be accommodated in the training session.
