What is inclusive education and what does it mean for teachers?

In essence, inclusive education refers to a school system that is a reflection of society. It is essential that learners with differing abilities should be included in our classrooms. Segregation in any form is strongly discouraged and diversity is embraced.

Although this course is self-paced, a guide will be provided to assist you with time management and planning.  The course duration is approximately 30 hours (excluding Support Material)

The content of the programme will be facilitated through audio files on the Google slide presentations, readings and quizzes.

Course topics:

  1. Diagnostic Assessment
  2. Differentiation
  3. Metacognition
  4. Individual Support Plan
  5. Scaffolding
  6. Accommodations & Adaptations

A facilitator will be available at a prescribed time each evening to assist you with any queries or help you navigate the course.  Access to the facilitator is through Google classroom 'stream'.

To successfully complete the course you will need to complete both the pre and post-testPlease note the timeframes in which to meet these requirements.
