About this Course

A 21st-century teacher understands the need to be fluent in the use of digital tools to successfully blend technology into teaching and learning. This is a 2-week self-paced course with online mentor support and webinars for practical demonstrations. All tasks will be submitted and assessed online.

Learn to use Google Workplace Apps to add essential 21st-century skills (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity) to your learning activities to engage and stimulate your learners.

By the end of this course teachers will:

  • Understand the importance and relevance of adding 21st-century skills  to teaching and learning

  • Use the more advanced features of Google Docs; Google Slides and Google Forms to create interactive, engaging content for the classroom

Course Outline

Module 1: The importance of incorporating 21st-century skills in today’s classroom.

Module 2: Use Google Docs to create interactive, engaging activities by incorporating  the 4C’s

Module 3: Use Google Slides to create interactive, engaging activities by incorporating  the 4C’s 

Module 4: Use Google Forms to create 21st-century assessment activities

Course Challenge: Create a final product where you demonstrate the skills learnt in previous modules.

Course Assessment

Participants are expected to complete, submit and pass all tasks 

All Module tasks must be completed and submitted by the end of the course date.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion only if all module tasks were submitted and passed

Participants need to receive at least 50% to pass a task
