What is inclusive education and what does it mean for teachers?
In essence, INCLUSIVE EDUCATION refers to a school system that is a reflection of society. It is essential that learners with differing abilities should be included in our classrooms. Segregation in any form is strongly discouraged and diversity is embraced.
This course has been designed to provide a holistic approach, ensuring you are well-versed in understanding the DCAPS and how to accomodate learners in the classroom.
This course will take place for 4 days over 4 weeks. Focussing on the following DCAPS_Core Subjects
- English Home Language
- Afrikaans Home Langauge
- Mathematics
This course will take place on a Thursday from 15:00 - 17:00 at the CTLI

- 27 February 2025: Unpacking DCAPS
- 6 March 2025: How to create a Lesson Plan from the DCAPS
- 13 March 2025: How to differentiate in a Lesson Plan
- 20 March 2025: Setting up assessments within the DCAPS
