About this Course

Course Purpose

The purpose of the course is to introduce teachers to digital tools which foster collaboration amongst teachers and their colleagues; as well as amongst learners in a classroom setting. This is an Online course for a duration of 10 days excluding weekends. This course is self-paced and is aimed with intermediate digital skills level.

Course Outcomes

This course will be practical and hands-on and have the following objectives:

  1. Consolidating an understanding of collaboration as one of the essential critical skills of the 21st century.

  2. Consolidating an understanding of the advantages of incorporating collaborative tools into everyday teaching and learning activities.

  3. Exposing teachers to a variety of digital tools which could be used to create collaborative environments.

  4. Allowing teachers to create collaborative activities using specific digital tools.

  5. Providing teachers with an experience of an online learning model which is easy enough for them to replicate.

Course Assessment

Participants are expected to complete and submit tasks called Module Tasks. 

All Module challenges must be completed and submitted by the end of course date.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion if all module tasks are submitted.

Participants need to achieve at least 50% to pass a module challenge.

Mode of Delivery: Online (Self-paced) 

An inaugural webinar is scheduled for May 6, 2024. Following course application, a meeting invitation will be dispatched.
