About this Course

A 21st-century teacher understands the need to be fluent in the use of digital tools to successfully blend technology into teaching and learning.

This course will equip teachers with an understanding of how Microsoft/Office 365 can be effectively used in the classroom for teaching and learning

By the end of this course teachers will be able to:

  • Understand the relevance of the SAMR model in teaching and learning

  • Explore the more advanced features of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Forms in the context of teaching and learning

  • Apply the skills learnt to create activities for learning, which incorporate the SAMR model  using Microsoft 365/Office.

COURSE OUTLINE

 

Module 1: The SAMR model in 21st Century Classrooms

Module 2: Create lesson content which incorporates SAMR using Microsoft Word

Module 3: Create lesson content which incorporates SAMR using PowerPoint

Module 4: Create self-marking quizzes for the 21st century classroom using Microsoft Forms

Module 5: Create a final product where you demonstrate the skills learnt in previous modules

 

COURSE ASSESSMENT

Participants are expected to complete, submit and pass all tasks 

All Module tasks must be completed and submitted by the end of the course date.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion only if all module tasks were submitted and passed

Participants need to receive at least 50% to pass a task
