This course is for teachers who teach Grade 10 Mathematical Literacy. Participants must have access to a computer/laptop and data to complete this course.

About this Course

Target Group: Grade 10 Mathematical Literacy Teachers

Course objective: The course aims to upskill teachers in content delivery, teaching strategies, and the development of assessment tasks for Mathematical Literacy.

The course content alligns itself to the ATP's for Mathematical Literacy for Term 1 and includes strategies to teach concepts such as, interpretation of graphs, patterns and relationships and data handling.

Course structure, duration and registration: This is ONE course and All three modules are compulsory. 

  1. Module 1 – Patterns and Relationships (two weeks, online)
  2. Module 2 – Data Handling (two weeks, online)
  3. Module 3 – Assessment Task development (2 days, Face to Face at the CTLI)

Mode of delivery: Blended

Live online sessions:

  1. Module 1: 3 X Live online sesions (2 hours each)
  2. Module 2: 2 X Live online sessions (2 hours each)

Course Certification: Only participants who have submitted and passed all module tasks and the final course assessment will be issued a certificate of completion.
