Foundation Phase Addressing Barriers to Learning Mathematics (Grade R - 3)

 

THE MODE OF DELIVERY FOR THIS COURSE WILL BE ISIXHOSA

This course is a follow up on Mathematics content course, only teachers who completed that course qualify to apply, and with the exception of Learning support teachers and special schools teachers.

Olu qeqesho lwenziwe ngenjongo yokunika umkhombandlela, ukwabelana nokuxhobisa ootitshala besigaba esisisiseko ngemiqobo yokufundisa izibalo. Ootitshala bazakuthi baxhotyiswe ngeendlela zokungenelela kwimiqobo abahlangabezana nayo ngexesha lokufundisa izibalo emagumbini abo okufundisela. Imodyuli ekugxininiswe kuzo zezi zilandelayo:

  • IModyuli yoku-1: Iquka intshayelelo, uvavanyo oluzakuthi luthathwe ngabathathi-nxaxheba ukuhlola ulwazi lwabo ngemiqobo yokufunda nongenelelo, ithuba lokwazana kwabathathi-nxaxheba ukuveza izakhono zabo, neengxaki zokungaqondi ngokugqibeleleyo abathi abathathi-nxaxheba bahlangabezane nazo kumagumbi abo okufundisela.

 

  • IModyuli yesi-2: Iphonononga imiqobo engqonge umfundi (extrinsic barriers). Ikwajonge ukuxhobisa abathathi-nxaxheba bazi ukuba kuthethwa ngantoni xa kuthethwa ngemiqobo engqonge umfundi. Abathathi- nxaxheba bazakuthi baxoxe ngeendlela abathi bangenelele ngazo ukuhlangabezana nabafundi abanemiqobo yokufunda kumagumbi abo okufundisela.

 

  • IModyuli yesi-3: Ijongene nemiqobo engqale-ngqo kumfundi (intrinsic barriers). Kule modyuli abathathi-nxaxheba bazakuxhotyiswa ngolwazi oluthe vetshe ngemiqobo engqale ngqo kumfundi, iimpawu ezibonakaliswa ngabafundi abanale miqobo kunye nezixhobo ezinokuthi sisetyenziswe emagumbini okokufundisela. Abathathi-nxaxheba bazakuthi bacaciselwe ngeemodeli ezimbini ezithi zisetyenziswe ukuphicotha nokuhlola abafundi abaneengxaki zokufunda.

 

  • IModyuli yesi-4: Kule modyuli kuphicothwa iingxaki kunye neendlela zokungenelela, sinika abafundi izakhono ezizizo zokufunda izibalo ngempumelelo. Abathathi- nxaxheba bazakufumana ulwazi oluthe vetshe ngezakhono zokubona ngengqiqo nokubaluleka kwazo ekufundeni, iingxaki zezakhono zokubona ngengqiqo, iimpawu ezibonakaliswa ngabafundi abaneengxaki zezakhono zokubona ngengqiqo kunye nezixhobo ezinokuthi sisetyenziswe.
  • IModyuli yesi-5: Kule modyuli kuphicothwa izakhono zengqiqo (perceptual skills), iingxaki ezithi zibeyimiqobo kubafundi ekufundeni izibalo nezinye izifundo besekwisigaba esisisiseko. Abathathi-nxaxheba bazakwazi ngcono ngezakhono zengqiqo abathi abafundi bahlangabezane nazo kwizifundo zabo zezibalo, bakwazi ukuqaphela iimpawu ezithi zibonakaliswe ngabafundi abanengxaki yezi zakhono zengqiqo. Le modyuli izakuxhobisa abathathathi- nxaxheba bazi ukuba babafundisa ze babahlole njani ngokwahluka abafundi babo nokuba bazi ukuba bangabaxhasa njani abafundi abaneengxaki kwizibalo.

 

  • IModyuli yesi-6: Injongo zale Modyuli kukuxhobisa abathathi-nxaxheba baqonde ngokwaneleyo ngesakhono samanani, iopereshini nolwalamano,iindlela abangathi bangenelele ngazo ukunceda abafundi abaneengxaki zesi sakhono kunye nokuyila izixhobo nemisebenzi engathi yenziwe ngabafundi ukuze baphuhle kwesi sakhono.

 

  • IModyuli yesi-7: Le modyuli ijongene nokuxhobisa abathathi-nxaxheba ngolwazi oluthe vetshe ngokufundiswa ngomlinganiselo abafundi abaneengxaki zokufunda, ukuqaphela iingxaki abathi ootitshala babekuyo xa benabafundi abaneengxaki zokufunda, kunye nokuyila nokuhlalutya iindlela zokunceda abafundi abasilelayo kwisakhono somlinganiselo.

 

  • IModyuli yesi-8: Ijongene neendlela zokuhlola abanokuthi abathathi-nxaxheba bazisebenzise ukuhlola abafundi abanengxaki yokufunda, nezixhobo ezinokusetyenziswa
